The Northwest Yeshiva Lions had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They blew past Concordia Christian Academy, posting a 54-9 victory at home. The result was nothing new for Northwest Yeshiva, who have now won three contests by 42 points or more so far this season.
Northwest Yeshiva's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Paulina Gamel, who scored 23 points. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Gamel has scored at least 25% of Northwest Yeshiva's points. Rose Clayman was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Northwest Yeshiva's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Concordia Christian Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northwest Yeshiva won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Summit Classical Christian School at 5:30 p.m. on January 11th. Summit Classical Christian School comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. Concordia Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Muckleshoot Tribal at 7:00 p.m. on January 22nd.
