On Thursday, Cross made easy work of Beaufort Academy and carried off a 3-0 win.

Meanwhile, Andrew Jackson Academy posted their closest victory since August 14th on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Thomas Heyward Academy. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Rebels: they've now won three in a row.
It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Andrew Jackson Academy got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-15, 15-25, 25-19, 18-25, 15-4.
Cross better focus on containing McKinnley Beard and Bella Carrigg as the pair were huge in Andrew Jackson Academy's win. Beard had 24 kills, six digs, four aces, and one block, while Carrigg had 44 assists and three aces. Beard is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 37 games she's played dating back to last season. Harlo Sease was another key player, getting ten kills, three digs, and two aces.
Andrew Jackson Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.
