Bucktail is 0-10 against Neumann Regional Academy since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Bucktail Bucks will head out on the road to square off against the Neumann Regional Academy Golden Knights at 7:30 p.m. Bucktail is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Wednesday, Bucktail took a serious blow against Muncy, falling 78-38. While losing is never fun, Bucktail can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 604th, while Muncy is ranked 291st).
Meanwhile, Neumann Regional Academy suffered a tough 71-48 loss at the hands of Montoursville on Tuesday. Neumann Regional Academy was down 58-35 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Jozef Savage, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Walter, who scored 14 points.
Bucktail has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for Neumann Regional Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.
Bucktail opened the new year with a less-than-successful 67-58 defeat to Neumann Regional Academy. Can Bucktail avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
