Even though the Eagle's Landing Christian Academy Chargers scored an imposing 60 points on Friday, the Towers Titans still came out on top. Towers had just enough and edged Eagle's Landing Christian Academy out 62-60. The victory was all the more spectacular given Towers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 276th, while Eagle's Landing Christian Academy is ranked 107th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Towers to victory, but perhaps none more so than Domyius Mcfarland, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. Jalen Kelly was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.
Despite the loss, Eagle's Landing Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Kam Warford, who scored 21 points along with five assists. Another player making a difference was Jayden Bone, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
The win made it two in a row for Towers and bumps their season record up to 13-9. As for Eagle's Landing Christian Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-5.
Towers and North Clayton will face off at 3:00 p.m. on February 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Towers is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 66.4 points per game this season. As for Eagle's Landing Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against McNair at 7:30 p.m. Eagle's Landing Christian Academy is facing McNair at the right time seeing as McNair is stuck on a 18-game losing streak.
