Capital is 0-3 against Owyhee since November of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Capital Golden Eagles will get right back to it and host the Owyhee Storm at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Capital will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Idaho Rankings (they are ranked 71st, while Owyhee is ranked 11th).
After a string of three wins, Capital's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 45-29 bruising from Middleton.
Meanwhile, Owyhee put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Monday. Everything went their way against Timberline as Owyhee made off with a 66-40 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Owyhee has posted since December 28, 2023.
Capital's defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 6-12. As for Owyhee, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.
Capital might still be hurting after the 47-25 loss they got from Owyhee in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Will Capital have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
