Ramsay is a perfect 7-0 against Carver Birmingham since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Ramsay will be playing at home against Carver Birmingham at 5:00 p.m.
Ramsay is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 13 runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Hueytown on Monday. They lost 9-2 to the Golden Gophers.
Meanwhile, Carver Birmingham had to endure a nine-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over Jackson-Olin on Tuesday. Considering the Rams have won ten games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Dejalin Woodside was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Carver Birmingham is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 10-12 otherwise. Woodside was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Ladarrius Tate was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Carver Birmingham: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 11-12 otherwise. Micheal Threatt was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Carver Birmingham always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jackson-Olin only posted an OBP of .484.
Ramsay has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season. As for Carver Birmingham, their victory bumped their record up to 14-12.
