The Gorham Rams will venture away from home to face off against the Biddeford Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Gorham is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
On Friday, Gorham got the win against Marshwood by a conclusive 13-3. The win continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won three in a row.
Bella McBrady made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. McBrady was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one double. That triple was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Sawyer VonderHaar was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Winnie Dubail, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Gorham lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Biddeford lost 12-6 to Kennebunk on Friday. The Tigers have struggled against the Rams recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.
Gabby Smith made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Jaylah Trottier, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Gorham pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Biddeford, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
Everything went Gorham's way against Biddeford in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Gorham made off with an 11-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
