Flatirons Academy extended their winning streak to four on Saturday, bumping them up to 4-0. They were the clear victors by a 20-4 margin over the Rocky Mountain Lutheran Eagles. Fans of the Bison have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Conner Odell and Mateo Pope were major factors while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Odell pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Pope tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. At bat, Odell got on base in five of his six plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI, while Pope got on base in three of his six plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one double. That's the most stolen bases Pope has posted since back in April of 2025.

In other batting news, Caleb Doughty was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with four stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Braxton Kelley, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base.
Flatirons Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .660. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.
As for Rocky Mountain Lutheran, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2. The contest marked their lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.
On Rocky Mountain Lutheran's side, Noah Lile made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.
Looking ahead, Flatirons Academy will welcome Front Range Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Bison's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Rocky Mountain Lutheran, they are taking a road trip to square off against SkyView Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
