The Foster Bulldogs fell victim to the Highline Pirates''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 76-0 loss at the hands of the Pirates. Foster's defeat continues a unfortunate trend for the team, making it seven in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Highline to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ronan Rasmussen, who threw for 119 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Marquawn McCraney also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Foster's defeat was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 6.4 points per game. As for Highline, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Foster will take on Lindbergh at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lindbergh and Foster are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads. As for Highline, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Renton at 6:00 p.m. Renton is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
