Softball Recap: Hemlock Has No Trouble Against Meridian

Hemlock never let their opponents score on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Meridian Mustangs. Considering the Huskies have won four matchups by more than eight runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for Hemlock and bumps their season record up to 4-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Meridian, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hemlock will face off against Michigan Lutheran Seminary at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Huskies surely won't give up without a fight. As for Meridian, they will take on Standish-Sterling at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so the Mustangs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
