Football Recap: Floyd Central Piles Up the Points Against Silver Creek

There's no place like home for Floyd Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past the Silver Creek Dragons 58-13 on Friday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Highlanders' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Dragons are ranked 222nd).

Floyd Central's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sebastion Robertson, who rushed for 140 yards and three scores while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. That's the most rushing touchdowns Robertson has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Luke Jacobi, who rushed for 105 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight carries.

Floyd Central now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Silver Creek, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Floyd Central will face off against Seymour at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Highlanders' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Silver Creek, they will take on Eastern at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
