Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Northwest Area Rangers walked away with it. They secured a  36-30 W over Bucktail on Friday. The  win was a breath of fresh air for Northwest Area as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
 Northwest Area's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Nick Stevens, who picked up 25 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in  a touchdown on the ground.  Trevor Dietz also helped out with an impressive 83  receiving yards.
 Northwest Area's win bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Bucktail, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, as they've  lost four of their last five contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
 Northwest Area is on the road again  on Friday and play against Muncy at 7:00  p.m.  on November 10th. Muncy will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak. Bucktail does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
