The Carrick Raiders will venture away from home to square off against the Jeannette Jayhawks at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Jeannette's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Monday: Carrick hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Raiders' pitchers stepped up to hand Westinghouse a 12-0 shutout on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won three in a row.

Jayda Rose was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jaelyn Klodowski, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Natalia Scheible, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Carrick kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Jeannette won against Monessen on Wednesday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Jayhawks put the hurt on Leechburg with a sharp 9-1 victory.
Grace Stein spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up 20 Ks. Those 20 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, Dalyhna Howard and Abby Shaw did most of the damage at the plate: Howard went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Shaw went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. Those RBI marked the first that Howard has brought in this season. Raylyn Gallik was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.
Carrick's record is now 5-0. As for Jeannette, their record now sits at 7-1.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Carrick has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11 hits per game. However, it's not like Jeannette struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.1 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
