Meridian had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. It was close but no cigar for Meridian as they fell 7-10 to Sedro-Woolley on Friday. The loss was a vexing one since Meridian was expected to win based on their state ranking. The game leaves both teams with the exact same record at 0-0.
Next week, Meridian take on Colville at Peshastin-Dryden Sports Complex at 1:00 PM. Sedro-Woolley will look to defend their home turf next week against Mount Vernon at 7:00 PM.
