Softball Recap: Clyde Extends Winning Streak to Four

Clyde entered their tilt with Columbian on Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by an 18-1 margin over the Tornadoes. Considering the Fliers have won 15 matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Clyde's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Columbian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clyde will host Carey at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Columbian, they will be playing at home against Perkins at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.74 runs per game on average), something the Tornadoes will no doubt try to take advantage of.
