The Jordan Falcons won against the Riverside-Durham Pirates last Wednesday with 67 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Jordan managed a 67-61 win over Riverside-Durham. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Jordan's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Julian Lowe, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds. Drew Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Despite the loss, Riverside-Durham still got an impressive performance from Corey Hairston Jr., who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Jaden Butler, who scored nine points along with 14 rebounds.
Jordan pushed their record up to 9-7 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Riverside-Durham, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6.
Coincidentally, Jordan and Riverside-Durham will both be playing Northern Durham the next time they take the court. Jordan will head out to face Northern Durham at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Riverside-Durham will head out to face them at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
