Tri-Central was the  6-4 winner over Eastern when they last played one another  two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Trojans fell  8-5 to the Comets on Tuesday. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Layla Baldwin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned  (and five unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in five consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Bella Stewart made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI and one  double. The team also got some help courtesy of  Logan Creason, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI.
Tri-Central's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Eastern,  with the  victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-22.
 Looking ahead, Tri-Central will challenge North Miami at 10:00  a.m.  on Monday. Eastern does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
