The Oak Hill Golden Eagles were the 45-42 winner over the Mississinewa Indians when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Oak Hill fell just short of Mississinewa by a score of 39-36.
Oak Hill's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Liz Godfrey, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexa Myers, who scored eight points.
Jaci Crick continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Mississinewa, scoring 21 points along with six rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Crick has scored at least 25% of Mississinewa's points. Amiyaa Parr-Inman was another key contributor, scoring four points along with ten rebounds.
Oak Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Mississinewa, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oak Hill will face off against Wabash at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Wabash will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Mississinewa, they will head out on the road to face off against Yorktown at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Yorktown focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Saturday.
