It may have taken  ten innings to finish the job, but Central Catholic ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  7-6  win over the Penn-Trafford Warriors. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Vikings.
 Yaniel Heredia was a  major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching four innings while giving up just two earned runs off   three  hits. He also  tossed a  walk, which is notable because Central Catholic is 4-2 when he allows at  most  two  walks, but 3-10 otherwise. Heredia was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-5 with two  stolen bases and two  runs.
 In other pitching news,  Nathan O'Leary looked comfortable as he  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks any time he's  pitched this season.
 Back at the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Landon Greene, who  got on base  in five of his six plate appearances with one  home run, two  runs,  and one  stolen base. He has become a key player for Central Catholic: the team is undefeated when he posts  at  least  two  runs, but 3-12 otherwise. Another player making a difference was  CJ Proch, who  went 2-for-5 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double.
