ANTLERS, Okla. -
Hartshorne (Okla.) took an early lead against Antlers (Okla.) and held on for a 40-0 victory on Saturday.
The Miners put up seven points in the opening quarter. Hartshorne scored on a
Dylan Pingleton touchdown run.
After taking the lead on a Pingleton touchdown run in the first quarter, HHS was up 27-0 at the half.
The Miners grew their lead to 33 points entering the fourth quarter. Hartshorne scored once in the quarter on a touchdown run by
Dallas Herring.
The victory was a step in the right direction for HHS, which was coming off a 41-27 defeat at the hands of Stigler in its previous game. The loss comes after Antlers defeated Atoka 49-7 last week.
Antlers (2-2) goes up against Vian in a 2A District 6 game matchup next week, while Hartshorne (3-1) locks horns with Panama also in a 2A District 6 game.
