The Westmoore Jaguars and the Northwest Classen Knights will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Westmoore has six straight victories, Northwest Classen has 23 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Tuesday, Westmoore didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Norman, but they still walked away with a 53-47 victory.
Westmoore can attribute much of their success to Kyiah Prestridge, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds, and Dee Frost, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Frost has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Trinity Humphrey, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Meanwhile, Northwest Classen had to suffer through a rough 46-16 loss at the hands of Yukon. Northwest Classen has struggled against Yukon recently, as their game on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Westmoore's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Northwest Classen, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-20.
Everything came up roses for Westmoore against Northwest Classen when the teams last played on Monday as the team secured a 64-15 victory. Does Westmoore have another victory up their sleeve, or will Northwest Classen turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
