Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Millry Wildcats, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. The match between the Wildcats and the Tigers wasn't particularly close, with the Wildcats falling 47-28. Millry was down 33-13 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Eli Adams, who picked up 84 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Daylon Edmunds was another key contributor, throwing for 158 yards and three touchdowns.
Alvin Henderson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Elba, rushing for 350 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per carry. Henderson is absolutely dominating the rushing yard category: he's posted at least 100 every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cayden Adkins, who rushed for 120 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Millry's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Elba, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
Millry does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Elba will square off against Maplesville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Maplesville: 15.2, Elba: 14.6) so any points scored will be well earned.
