Schuylkill Valley is 2-8 against Wyomissing since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Wednesday. Schuylkill Valley will welcome Wyomissing  at 4:00  p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one:  the two teams posted some lofty  run totals in their previous games.
As a matter of fact, Schuylkill Valley put up the most points they have all season  on Monday. Everything went their way against Antietam as Schuylkill Valley made off with  a  16-3 win. The  victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Mountaineers: they've now won seven in a row.
 Salinger Kehs-Rossi made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out six batters over  2.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit. Those  six  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. He also put up a  triple, which was his first of the season.

 In other batting news, Schuylkill Valley got a big performance out of  Logan Nawrocki, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-3. Those  two  runs gave  Nawrocki a new career-high.  Dimitrios Aletras was another key player,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4.
 Schuylkill Valley  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .548. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Wyomissing fought the good fight in their extra-innings  contest against Schuylkill Haven  on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Hurricanes by a score of  11-10. The Spartans have struggled against the Hurricanes recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.
 Parker LaFerriere was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He  didn't allow a single  earned run over five innings pitched. LaFerriere was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Noah Rauenzahn made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 3-for-5 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and one  stolen base. Another player making a difference was  Teddy White, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-5.
 Wyomissing's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Schuylkill Valley, their  win (their first of the  season) made their record 1-4.
