Johnnie Lang ran for two touchdowns and
Trevon Walters added three as well as
Manatee (Bradenton, Fla.) beat Southeast (Bradenton, Fla.) 62-0 on Saturday.
The lead that the Hurricanes took on a touchdown run by Walters with 9:00 to go in the first quarter stood up for the duration of the game, as neither team managed to score in the second half.
Manatee put up 35 points in the second quarter en route to the win. MHS scored on a
Marquel Hines touchdown run, a touchdown pass by
Joshua Meyer to Lang, a Meyer touchdown pass to
Kelvin McKnight, a touchdown run by Walters and a Meyer touchdown run in the quarter.
The Hurricanes also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 48-6.
The loss comes after Southeast defeated Bayshore 41-27 last week.
