Laguna Hills has gone a perfect 8-0 against University recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Hawks will look to defend their home field against the Trojans at 3:30 p.m. Laguna Hills has now lost 14 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since February 18.

Laguna Hills saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Seiry Serrano, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, while University put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Estancia. The Trojans put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 23-0 victory. Considering the Trojans have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Carson Cruz was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. That triple was her first of the season.
In other batting news, University got a massive performance out of Gidget Smith, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI, two runs, and one double. Those six RBI gave Smith a new career-high. Jessica Hu was another key player, going 4-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
University always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .795. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Laguna Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for University, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Laguna Hills came out on top in a nail-biter against University in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 9-7. Do the Hawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
