The Brazosport Exporters will head out on the road to face off against the Navasota Rattlers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brazosport is hoping to put an end to a nine-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
On October 13th, Brazosport came up short against Stafford and fell 14-6.
Despite their defeat, Brazosport saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Toric Goins, who gained 169 total yards, was perhaps the best of all.
Meanwhile, Navasota strolled past Stafford with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 28-10.
Navasota relied on the efforts of Jamal Thomas, who rushed for 118 yards and a touchdown, and Javyn Jessie, who rushed for six yards and two touchdowns. Cameron Ross also helped out with an impressive 118 receiving yards.
Stafford's win bumped their season record to 4-4 while Brazosport's defeat dropped theirs to 0-8.
Brazosport didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Navasota in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, but they still walked away with a 33-27 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brazosport since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
