The Ware Indians won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Thursday. They were the victim of a rough 52-30 defeat at the hands of Franklin County Tech. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Ware of the 52-25 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Hannah Gilbert continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Franklin County Tech, scoring 23 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Gilbert hasn't dropped below two steals for 12 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Lea Chapman, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds.
Ware's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Franklin County Tech, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 14-2.
Ware does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Franklin County Tech will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Beavers at 7:00 p.m. Putnam Vo-Tech and the Eagles are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
