While losing is never fun, Mountain View can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while Greater Atlanta Christian is ranked 20th).
Mikey Carpenter continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Greater Atlanta Christian, scoring 22 points. The game was Carpenter's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Rich Rojas, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
Mountain View has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season. As for Greater Atlanta Christian, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
Mountain View will take on T.L. Hanna in a holiday battle at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at. Greater Atlanta Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Keswick Christian at 8:30 p.m. on December 28th.
