The Sullivan Eagles's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 53-28 margin over Jefferson.
Jefferson's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grace Neels, who scored 6 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 blocks. Megan Wood was another key contributor, scoring 3 points along with 10 rebounds and 4 steals.
The win got Sullivan back to even at 1-1. As for Jefferson, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Sullivan will head out on the road to face off against St. Pius X on Friday. St. Pius X is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Jefferson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against DeSoto at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
