Cornerstone Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Packinghouse Christian Academy Bears, falling 79-55. One positive for the Crusaders, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the loss, Cornerstone Christian still got an impressive performance from Jarin Cole, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jaxon Gwaltney, who posted ten points and six rebounds.

Cornerstone Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Packinghouse Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cornerstone Christian will host Calvary Baptist at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Calvary Baptist knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Cornerstone Christian likes a good challenge. As for Packinghouse Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Norton Science & Language Academy at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
