The Niceville Eagles will be playing at home against the Pace Patriots at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Niceville is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games.
Last Tuesday, Niceville strolled past Milton with points to spare, taking the game 44-25. Given Niceville's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 22nd, while Milton is ranked 223rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Niceville had a senior duo take command as Anna Kimball scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and Kiyah Hatcher scored eight points along with five steals. Another player making a difference was Carson Fayard, who scored four points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Florida State University High School scored an imposing 59 points on Thursday, Pace still came out on top. Pace narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Florida State University High School 61-59. That's two games straight that Pace has won by exactly two points.
Niceville is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. As for Pace, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-4.
Niceville beat Pace 42-33 in their previous meeting last Thursday. Will Niceville repeat their success, or does Pace have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
