After flying high against the McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers last Friday, The Emanuel County Institute Bulldogs came back down to earth. Emanuel County Institute was the victim of a tough 28-7 loss at the hands of Jenkins County on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 35 points in the game before, Emanuel County Institute couldn't push the score so high this time.
Jenkins County was led to victory by Rob-travious Coney and Christian Wilson. Coney rushed for 91 yards and two touchdowns, while Wilson rushed for 156 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries. Wilson's longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards.
Emanuel County Institute now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Jenkins County, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Emanuel County Institute will be playing at home against Montgomery County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Montgomery County is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Jenkins County, they will head out on the road to face off against Portal at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Portal is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
