The Morris Central Mustangs will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Edmeston Central Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th. Morris Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 441st, while Edmeston Central is ranked 187th).
Morris Central pushed their score all the way to 66 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 75-66 to Milford Central. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game back in December of 2023 (57), Morris Central still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Edmeston Central waltzed into their game two weeks ago with seven straight wins but they left with eight. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 52-24 win over Richfield Springs Central. Edmeston Central has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 23 points or more this season.
Morris Central's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Edmeston Central, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1.
