Olathe North was the victim of a rough 42-21 loss at the hands of Blue Valley. Olathe North's defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
When it comes to explaining why Olathe North lost, one person who can't be blamed is Tj Porter. Despite the final result, he rushed for 104 yards and two touchdowns. Porter is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last five games he's played.
Blue Valley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Martell Buchanan out in front who rushed for 84 yards and two touchdowns. Grady Westphal also helped out with an impressive 129 receiving yards.
Olathe North's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Blue Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Olathe North does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Blue Valley will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Gardner-Edgerton at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kansas (Gardner-Edgerton is ranked first, while Blue Valley is ranked tenth).
