The Flint Hill Huskies will face off against the Maret Frogs at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Flint Hill is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
Flint Hill barely beat St. Andrew's Episcopal the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Huskies blew past the Lions 16-1 on Wednesday. Considering the Huskies have won six games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jackson Speer looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.
On the hitting side, Flint Hill got a massive performance out of Aidan Ryan, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Ryan has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Lucca, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Maret faced Sidwell Friends in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Frogs lost 14-4 to the Quakers. The Frogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Isiah Williams made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Flint Hill pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Maret, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
Monday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Flint Hill has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .475. However, it's not like Maret struggles in that department as they've averaged .467. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Flint Hill skirted past Maret 2-1 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Do the Huskies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Frogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
