After a string of three wins, The Ardrey Kell Knights''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a hard 32-15 fall against West Forsyth. While losing is never fun, Ardrey Kell can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 61st, while West Forsyth is ranked 17th).
Caleb David was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 44 yards and four touchdowns. West Forsyth also got a significant boost from Caman Chaplin, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 100 yards.
Ardrey Kell's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for West Forsyth, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Ardrey Kell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. West Forsyth will head out on the road to face off against Butler at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Butler is on a six-game streak of home wins, West Forsyth a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
