Breann Reasoner and McKenzie Cole certainly did their best on Monday to try and avoid the loss. Reasoner dropped a double-double on 14 points and 20 rebounds, while Cole scored five points along with six assists and five rebounds. Reasoner scored a full 58.3% of El Dorado Christian's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Plaza Heights Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Reece Cornine, who scored 18 points along with nine steals and six rebounds. The game was Cornine's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Ava Collier was another key contributor, scoring four points along with nine rebounds.
El Dorado Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Plaza Heights Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.
El Dorado Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. Varsity Opponent is on a three-game streak of home losses, El Dorado Christian a five-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. Plaza Heights Christian Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Heartland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Heartland will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
