The Tescott Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They fell to Rock Hills 32-26. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Tescott of the 41-31 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2023.
Leading Rock Hills to victory were Cooper McDill and Eli Whelchel. McDill scored 11 points along with eight rebounds, while Whelchel scored 11 points along with seven rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which McDill has scored at least a third of Rock Hills' points.
Tescott dropped their record down to 2-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Rock Hills, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-8.
Tescott will take on St. John's/Tipton Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. St. John's/Tipton Catholic presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Tescott in Kansas (St. John's/Tipton Catholic is ranked 148th, while Tescott is ranked 334th). As for Rock Hills, they will be playing at home against Sylvan-Lucas on Tuesday.
