Given Tri-County Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while Copiah Academy is ranked 201st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Among those leading the charge was Madye Bath, who scored 13 points along with 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alisha Davis, who scored 8 points.
Tri-County Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Copiah Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Tri-County Academy will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Carroll Academy at 6:30 p.m. As for Copiah Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Laurel HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
