After a string of three wins, Magnolia West's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 2-0 to the Clear Lake Falcons.

Magnolia West was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-15.

Alex Kerman paced Magnolia West's offense, picking up seven kills. Kerman got some help from Shannon Dworaczyk and her 17 assists. Rubie Mullens controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Magnolia West now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Clear Lake, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4.

Magnolia West wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Temple on the 29th. As for Clear Lake, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Willis on the 29th.
