With a playoff win on the line, Belfry rose to the challenge on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Leslie County Eagles a 47-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won ten games by 27 points or more so far this season.

The victory (which was Belfry's eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 48.4 points over those games. As for Leslie County, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

Looking ahead, Belfry will face off against Martin County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Leslie County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
