After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Eads, the Idalia Wolves were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Flagler by a score of 44-36. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Idalia also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Leading Idalia to victory were Jaylyn Kechter and Krista Wieser. Kechter scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Wieser dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 steals. That's the first time this season that Wieser scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Richards, who scored six points along with two steals.
Idalia has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Flagler, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.
Idalia will head out on the road to challenge Arickaree at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Arickaree is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games. As for Flagler, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Burlington at 4:00 p.m. Burlington knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six games -- so hopefully Flagler likes a good challenge.
