East Buchanan had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They blew past Maquoketa Valley 42-8. This was the first game for both teams, giving East Buchanan a 1-0 record and starting Maquoketa Valley off at 0-1.
Next week, East Buchanan take on Clayton-Ridge at 7:00 PM. As for Maquoketa Valley, they will face of against North Linn.
