Palmer came tearing into Friday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Mexia Black Cats by a score of 2-0.

Palmer not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Mexia between 15 and 16 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-16.

Lexey Maxwell paced Palmer's offense, picking up eight kills. Maxwell got some help from Harley Ellis and her ten assists. Kayleigh Easley controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Palmer's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Mexia, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coincidentally, Palmer and Mexia will both be playing Grand Saline the next time they take the court. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Indians at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Black Cats will play them later in the day, at 5:00 p.m.
