Brashear is 2-8 against Atlanta since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Brashear Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Atlanta Hornets at 7:30 p.m. Brashear will be strutting in after a victory while Atlanta will be coming in after a loss.
Last Tuesday, Brashear was able to grind out a solid victory over La Plata, taking the game 55-48. Given Brashear's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 173rd, while La Plata is ranked 347th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Atlanta had to suffer through a rough 73-46 loss at the hands of Green City.
Brashear is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Atlanta, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-2.
Brashear suffered a grim 70-50 defeat to Atlanta in their previous matchup back in February. Can Brashear avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
