Los Padres recap October 1, 2013
Cabrillo moved up to 704 from 784 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Los Padres. The Conquistadores climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Santa Maria 35-12.
Nipomo was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from fifth to second in the league. The Titans defeated Templeton 36-20 earlier in the week.
Matt Albright threw for 240 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Christian Hauser was the best running back in the league this week. In 20 carries, he ran for 135 yards as the Eagles lost to Nipomo. Teammate Chris Romero added to the ground attack by rushing for 47 yards.
Nipomo's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Titans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Albright has thrown for 1,057 yards and 8 touchdowns this season, while Harrison Labastida has 22 catches for 315 yards.
An important game coming up in Los Padres this week will be when Morro Bay takes on Russell Edwards' team. At the moment, the Pirates are in third, while the Titans are in second.
Morro Bay lost to Lompoc 49-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
