Several Hornets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jarron Murry jr., who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Cantrell Byrd, who scored 10 points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Christel House to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaden Davis, who scored 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lamar Jones, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 13 rebounds.
Beech Grove's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Christel House, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beech Grove will take on Perry Meridian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Christel House, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Victory College Prep at 7:30 p.m.
