No. 19
St. Frances Academy (Baltimore) hopes the influx of transfers added to its returning cast can offset losing four of the top five scorers from a 38-4 team that finished No. 18 in the final MaxPreps Top 25.
Julian Reese, Kyrie Staten, Byron Ireland and Jonathan
Lamothe provide a strong foundation to build upon with the additions of
Derik Queen, Cortez Johnson and Daquan Davis bolstering their depth.
The
Panthers are expected to travel to the Beach Ball Classic and Kevin
Durant MLK showcase this season. They don't, however, have as many big-time out-of-league games
scheduled due to state COVID-19 restrictions.
St.
Frances Academy is favored to win a fourth consecutive Baltimore
Catholic League title, but challenges remain as this group needs to
gain chemistry early and capitalize in big games to scale the rankings.
