The Albany Warriors were the 65-48 winner over the Worth County Tigers when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Albany was beaten by Worth County 69-42 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Albany can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 325th, while Worth County is ranked 128th).
It was another big night for Tyler New, who scored 25 points along with six steals for Worth County. That makes it four consecutive games in which New has scored at least 25% of Worth County's points. Another player making a difference was Cole Ruby, who scored 14 points.
Albany's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Worth County, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Albany will face off against Stanberry at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Worth County, they will head out on the road to face off against North Andrew at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
