The Spruce Timberwolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 48-39 to Adams. Spruce was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Adams apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Adams to victory, but perhaps none more so than Artiss Harris, who scored 17 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Harris has scored at least 25% of Adams' points. Another player making a difference was Elizabeth Marquez, who scored 11 points.
Spruce's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Adams, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-7.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Poteet the next time they take the court. Adams will host Poteet at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Spruce will head out to face them at 8:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
